More staples art by Baptiste Debombourg

A little while ago I blogged about Peter Root’s cityscape staple art after seeing it on Fubiz. Now, after exploring more of the Fubiz archives I’ve fond some more staples art that I think I might enjoy even more.

It took the French artist, Baptiste Debombourg, 75 hours and 35,000 staples to create the pieces and you can see loads more of his awesome installations on his website.

I can imagine using this technique to make a nice TV, Print or Guerilla campaign for a stationary brand or chain like Rymans (or Staples of course!). I can see a stop motion TV spot with quirky music and an artwork or logo being created with staples in this technique.

Right at your finger tips… BOLLOCKS.

I saw this ad in the tube the other day and couldn’t believe the sheer bullshit I was reading…

Since when has a huge mother fucking Yellow Pages given me information right at my fingertips???

It’s MASSIVE, and no-one in their right mind would carry one around with them. Now I could understand if this ad was refferring me to a website or to an iPhone/blackberry app or something, but it doesn’t.

Bluetooth in new Ford cars is knot a problem

I’m not sure if this is an old campaign or (k)not [insert laughter at my hilarious pun here] but I thought I’d share it. Really like it but would have preferred to see the copy a bit bigger and also to see the knots re-named with places or situations that your headphones might get knotted such as ‘Back pocket knot’ or ‘Between the sofa cushions knot’ and so on.

Great job Weiden. Nice one Kennedy.

Just saw this ad on Brand Freak and LOVE it. I can’t even begin to comprehend the complexity of the editing involved here. After watching it just now I quite literally applauded. Well done to everyone involved it’s great.

For more information read this, or wait until next week when it will probably be in Campaign magazine. As for me, I’m going to watch it again, then watch Gordon Ramsay swearing at people in his Fuck Word Kitchen, then sleep.

The Sun TV Ad - iPhone parody

Whilst watching the X-Factor last night I was most entertained by this TV ad for the Sun Newspaper. It’s a great parody of an iPhone advert that I can imagine appealing to the target audience massively. Spot on, and hilarious too.

I will find out who did it, but not now. It’s Monday morning and I need my second cup of tea urgently.

[UPDATE: Credits go to Glue London for this awesome ad]

Expand your wardrobe… with paint.

Found these cool shots on the web and wanted to share them. They remind me of a previous post I wrote about a fashionable paint brand. Enjoy…

And this is the ad I wrote about before…

Cool eh?
